What Are We Doing?

In October 2015, SVJI partnered with Valley FCA, Shenandoah Valley Teen Challenge and the Potter’s House Worship Center to host Eddie James Ministries for a night of music, worship, and testimonies of street kids who were rescued from various bondages/addictions/slavery.
In August 2015, SVJI taught a human trafficking prevention class to a group of approximately 30 young teens in New Market, Virginia. We are raising awareness and teaching prevention.

In March 2015, SVJI raised over $1,000.00 in fundraisers to help us support, partner, and teach prevention classes.

SVJI supports and partners with other human trafficking non-profit organizations, locally, nationally, and globally.

human trafficking…

We were sure the United States of America left slavery on the battlefields of the American Civil War. But, approximately 27 million people are enslaved today worldwide. Human Trafficking is now the fastest-growing criminal industry in the world.

Human Trafficking is a crime against humanity; the illegal trade of human beings for the purposes of reproductive slavery, commercial sexual exploitation, or forced labor. Millions are exploited worldwide for forced labor or sexual exploitation. Human Trafficking (sexual, domestic, industrial, agricultural) is a 32 billion dollar per year industry, bringing in more revenue than the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB combined.
